Abhisam’s India office successfully conducted the Abhisam “Understanding OT Cybersecurity and IEC 62443 training workshop” at Hotel Ira by Orchid, Andheri, Mumbai on 2nd Aug 2023.
This unique, in-person Instructor led OT Cybersecurity training workshop was led by Mandar Phadke from Abhisam.
Who participated in the OT Cybersecurity training program?
Participants included a mix of senior and middle level professionals from several marquee companies including thyssenkrupp, Worley, Technova, Schneider and others with some having OT background and some with IT background. Some more participants were supposed to join but could not due to some last minute schedule changes at their end, they will join the next one.

The workshop also involved exercises such as evaluating a System architecture for analyzing its attack surface and potential vulnerabilities, as well as determining Zones and Conduits. Later, a group exercise on cyber Risk Assessment was also carried out. There were many interesting discussions on the relevance of the Purdue Model to modern OT architecture security, protecting oil pipeline SCADA from cyber threats, using Unidirectional gateways, Data Diodes versus only Firewalls, data communication from ERP systems to DCS for Production planning, OPC servers and much more.
The feedback from the participants was excellent.
