The Abhisam Certified Industrial Cybersecurity training program (CICP- Certified Industrial Cybersecurity Professional) has been updated to reflect the new IEC 62443 updates.
For example, IEC 62443-2-1 was completely revised in Edition 2 (actually it is like a completely new standard) and has no connection with IEC 62443-2-1 Edition 1.
About IEC 62443 updates
IEC 62443 is a set of standards and technical reports that are about Industrial and OT cybersecurity. In the past one year IEC has changed the structure of the original set of standards, introduced new parts, completely revised some existing parts and also revised some numbers. All these developments could be confusing to a person who is new to OT cybersecurity. However everybody who has enrolled in the CICP program have nothing to worry or get confused, everything is clear. If you have not yet enrolled in the CICP program, please do so now. It is the most current, cost effective and globally accepted certification in OT cybersecurity, that major multinational organizations prefer.
Hence in order to keep CICP learners current, it was imperative to change the modules that covered IEC 62443-2-1. Read about IEC 62443-2-1 here. The term CSMS has been completely removed and it now talks about a Security Program (SP) for Asset Owners with a framework consisting of several SPE (Security Program Elements) that make this framework.
Additionally, IEC 62443-2-2 has also been released in March 2025. Although this has been included in the CICP program as part of an overview, a more detailed module will be released later this year.
Over the past year, the IEC 62443 structure has changed considerably with new parts being added and some numbers being changed. If you have undergone any training program prior to these changes, you should update yourself with these changes. Read about IEC 62443 latest updates here
Fortunately, all CICP participants with a valid license can immediately get this updated information, unlike other training providers. Hundreds of learners from all over the world have enrolled in the CICP program and many of these have got certified and benefited from newer career opportunities.
Note that the CICP program is respected all over the world and costs much lesser than similar OT cybersecurity related programs from other providers.
