Recently held Training Workshops
1. Introduction to Functional Safety ( 16th Apr 2012)
A one day workshop for learners new to Functional Safety and Risk Assessment. Extremely useful for engineers and managers working in the process industries.
2. Functional Safety Certification Course (FSCC) with TUV Exam and Certification ( 17th Apr 2012 to 20th Apr 2012)
This enabled participants to learn all about Functional Safety, including Safety Integrity level Assessments, IEC 61511 and IEC 61508 and related topics. Successful participants got a TUV SUD Certificate in Functional Safety.
3. Practical Calculations for Safety Instrumented Systems (with free license of Software Calculation Tool) on 23rd-24th Apr 2012
This was a unique and excellent practical workshop on calculations according to the functional safety standards IEC 61508, IEC 61511, etc. Limited theory but therefore more hands on practical work. After completing this two day workshop you participants are able to :
Overview of RBD, FTA, Markov, simplified equations
Easy modeling with Markov as basis
Make your own safety models (you will receive calculation tool before course, bring your own laptop)
Calculate the probability of dangerous failures (PFD, PFDavg, PFH) - SIL
Calculate the probability of safe failures (PFS) - STL
Calculate safety availability and unavailability
Calculate process availability and unavailability
Model random, common cause and systematic failures
Model hardware and software failures and human error
Understand which reliability data needs to be collected
4. Introduction to ISA S88 Batch Process Control standard sucessfully held for a multinational company in Navi Mumbai on 24th June 2011.
5. Functional Safety Certification Course successfully held in Mumbai in April 2011, September 2011 & February 2012. All successful participants who passed the exam have received their certificates from TUV SUD, Germany.
